Sculpted Cliffs and Golden Coves
Lagos offers arguably the Algarve's most diverse beach experience. The coastline south of the historic town centre is carved into a succession of intimate, cliff-framed coves — each more photogenic than the last.
Ponta da Piedade's extraordinary rock formations are the centrepiece, while nearby Praia Dona Ana and Praia do Camilo regularly feature on lists of the world's most beautiful beaches. For something different, Meia Praia stretches 4km east of the marina with gentle waters ideal for families and kitesurfing.
