Algarve Golf Courses by Region
Browse 40+ Algarve courses by region and style. From resort championship layouts to hidden local gems.
Algarve golf began when Sir Henry Cotton opened the first course at Penina in 1966. Today, over 40 courses wind through coastal cliffs, pine forests, and rolling hills. Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo, and Christy O'Connor Jr. all designed here. Year-round playing conditions and competitive green fees have earned the region multiple IAGTO Best Golf Destination in Europe awards.

Best Time to Play
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the best conditions. Summer can be very hot; book early tee times.
Green Fees
Prices vary widely, from €50–€250+. Twilight rates offer significant savings, and multi-round packages are available.
Getting Around
A rental car gives you flexibility to play different courses. Most resorts offer golf buggies included in green fees.
Book Ahead
Popular courses fill up, especially in peak season. Book your preferred tee times 2–4 weeks in advance.
