Algarve Villages & Towns
Beyond the beach resorts. Whitewashed hamlets, hilltop fortresses, fishing harbours, and mountain springs — the places where the real Algarve lives.
The Algarve's 42 villages and towns range from clifftop hamlets above the Ria Formosa to mountain retreats in the Serra de Monchique. Some are famous surf destinations, others are quiet inland settlements where the main event is a spring-fed swimming hole or a weekly market. Each village page includes dining, accommodation, nearby beaches, and practical visiting information.
