From town beach to towering cliffs
Albufeira packs more beaches into its coastline than almost any other Algarve municipality. The old town's Praia dos Pescadores remains a working fishing beach, while the Strip's Praia da Oura buzzes with water sports and nightlife.
Head east for the spectacular Praia da Falésia — 6km of golden sand beneath towering red-orange sandstone cliffs, consistently rated among Portugal's finest. West of town, quieter coves like Praia de São Rafael and Praia da Coelha offer excellent snorkelling and more peaceful surroundings.
