Salgados Golf winds through a protected wetland reserve, where the flat terrain and open water hazards give it a links character unlike any other course in the area — herons and wading birds are a regular presence on the back nine. Pine Cliffs Golf is short by Algarve standards but demands accuracy: the holes are cut into red sandstone cliffs above the ocean, and the narrow fairways leave little room for error. Balaia Golf is the most understated of the three — a compact parkland course with lower green fees and a pace that suits golfers after a relaxed round rather than a test.
